You can always count on TikTok to introduce you to a great deal, dupe or hack. In this case, home goods loving creators may have just cracked the code on how to get MacKenzie-Childs inspired pieces for well below their traditional price point.

TikTok creator @blissfulbabymama sparked interest in the designer homeware dupes with a video she posted to the app in late February. “If you're a fan of stylish home decor, you won't want to miss the stunning new checkerboard dinnerware collection available at Dollar Tree,” she captioned the post.

In the video, she pans a shelf of Dollar Tree items that are outfitted in that signature brush stroked checkered pattern. Plates, oven mitts, mugs, pot holders, dish towels, and glasses appear to be available in pink and green and are selling for $1.25 a piece, according to @blissfulbabymama.

Fans of the brand were quick to share their thoughts. “Love the pink but wish they had neutral ones!!!,” one person commented. “Wait a minuteeeeeee while I 🏃🏽‍♀️[run to] Dollar Tree! These are epic!,” another person shared. “Nice dupe for people who like it and cannot afford the big brand,” a third person added.

Our pros at the Good Housekeeping Institute are also fans of the iconic MacKenzie-Childs checker print, which can typically run anywhere from $50 to $300 for a steel, glass or ceramic piece. Most recently, the brand’s Sterling Check Butter Box was named the most design-forward in a roundup of best butter dishes. And our Beauty Lab named the Goody x MacKenzie Childs Medium Claw Clips in Pink one of the best new beauty products of March.

It’s clearly evident that the style is popular. And if you’re hoping to introduce the pattern into your own home, Dollar Tree’s dupes seem to be a great start.

Currently, Dollar Tree isn’t selling the checker collection on its website, so if you see it in store, you’ll want to grab it. In the meantime, we’ve rounded up a few similar pieces that are currently on Amazon if you still want to achieve that look for less.
