I'm an autumn person. While I don't love torrential downpours when you're trying to dash out for your lunch or walk the dog, I'm a big fan of crunchy leaves underfoot, the return of great TV (including Celeb Traitors), and long, bracing walks on cold, sunny days.

This Barbour-style jacket is made for winter walks, thanks to the generous pockets (for stashing snacks and essentials), the internal drawstrings to adjust the fit and the double zipper/button popper fastening to stop the wind and rain getting in. The check print and cosy collar add a unique twist.
