Just this week, Katie shared an Instagram post while applying her makeup in the morning, letting fans in on her daily beauty routine. Dressed in a cozy robe in her bathroom, Katie applies some eye and face makeup while opening up about her own makeup journey. “In daily life, I do very minimal makeup,” she says. “I’m a ‘90s kid and [minimal makeup] was cool back then. I guess I still think it’s the ‘90s.”

While casually applying MERIT Beauty’s Flush Balm Cream Blush in Cheeky with her fingers, Katie admits that her makeup artist still gives her tips and that’s she’s still always learning on how to apply her makeup better.

Katie talks about how she wore a darker lip to prom, and then nude lips became popular afterwards. “Now that [nude lips have] come back around, I feel like you’re really seeing, at a certain point in your life how everything is cyclical,” she says. She adds that the resurgence in trends can instill confidence in the decisions you’ve made in the past.

Katie clearly shows her love for MERIT Beauty (which is known for its minimalist approach suitable for the “no-makeup makeup look”), saying that the brand “does make it easier.” In her video caption, Katie shares that all products she used in the video were by MERIT and even teases that the brand is coming out with a new product soon (which we think is mascara, since it’s the only product she didn’t name)!
