The holiday film Elf is comedy gold, thanks to Will Ferrell’s perfect performance as Buddy the Elf. You can’t tell me you don’t giggle every time you see him sit on Papa’s lap. The movie has certainly become a Christmas classic, so it was only a matter of time before LEGO dropped a Buddy the Elf set.

While some of LEGO’s holiday sets, like the Home Alone house that came out a few years ago, are pricier and designed for adults, Buddy is affordable and suitable for ages 12 and up—making him a great gift or stocking stuffer for kids. And coming from a collector, I expect him to sell pretty fast!

After all, LEGO has a 3-per-household limit on their site for Buddy, which is a tell-tale sign that this one’s going to be popular.

At just 713 pieces, this is a set that even the most “cotton-headed ninny muggin” can put together while watching the movie. (See what I did there?) Along with a 12-inch-tall version of Buddy, you’ll also build an Arctic Puffin, candy canes—and, of course, a bottle of maple syrup. It’s one of four main food groups, after all!

LEGO Insiders can earn 260 Insiders points on this set (points you can cash in towards a future set). If you’re looking for more holiday builds to display alongside Buddy, shop some of my favorite new festive sets below.
