• Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, made an appearance at the Bermondsey Beer Mile beer pub crawl in London, England in mid-March.
  • Kate dressed according to theme, sporting a playful yet polished look for the event.
  • We were surprised to see Kate in cowboy boots—a look she seemingly hasn’t donned in a decade.

The Princess of Wales was recently seen sporting attire more casual than what we’re used to. Kate Middleton made a visit to the Bermondsey Beer Mile, a year-round attraction that celebrates a collection of independent breweries in London. While the royal member shared that she doesn’t drink much alcohol since her cancer diagnosis in 2024, she joined in on the fun, trying out her own hand at brewing.

While participating in the event, Kate dressed appropriately playful for the situation, showing up in a houndstooth blazer over a light-blue button-up, a classic sports cap, dark slacks, and—the star of the show—dark suede ankle cowboy boots.

A pair of cowboy boots isn’t the first shoe choice that comes to mind when we think of Kate, and we were pleasantly surprised by her look. After some digging, we identified the boots as the Cece Ankle Boot 60 from Jimmy Choo. They’re designed with velvet suede, a sleek pointed toe, and a short 2-inch block heel. The boots are currently in stock in several sizes—but they cost $1,350.

Luckily, we found a few more affordable alternatives—in similar and different colors—from Sam Edelman, Dolce Vita, Vince Camuto, and even some Amazon brands (if you’d prefer to get the look for less). Some of the boots are even on sale!

This specific look especially stuck out to us because we haven’t seen Kate in cowboy boots in, well, a decade. In fact, we last noticed her wearing cowboy boots at an event in Canada in 2016. We love that she’s bringing them back!
