Katie Holmes has been busy attending fashion and art projects in France, New York, and now London. The actress recently joined Cultured magazine and Lancôme for an intimate Frieze Week breakfast in England. Of course, she was aptly dressed for the occasion, wearing an oversize, crisp white button-up, metallic pumps, and a chic black shoulder bag.
But the piece that made the outfit was a sequin multicolored skirt. While Katie could have easily gone with jeans, the skirt elevated her look, transforming it from everyday street style to instant glam.
She wore the Sequin Embellished Midi Skirt by Italian luxury fashion brand Marni. It’s one of my favorite brands for its use of vivid colors, graphic prints, and funky silhouettes.
Unfortunately, the skirt is completely sold out (it may be from a past season). But I’ve managed to find similar options from Amazon, Revolve, and Nordstrom that can make a statement at your next holiday party or event.
And if you’re intimidated to recreate the look, take some notes from Katie. Since the skirt did most of the talking, she kept everything else simple and understated. But little details kept the outfit working together, like the shiny sequins matching the metallic hue from her shoes or the gold hardware on her handbag.
