As the temperature climbs higher and higher and we begin to wonder how we're supposed to stay cool and chic, it helps to look to your favorite celebs for a little inspiration.

Enter Meg Ryan and the chic Chanel outfit that she wore at the Tribeca Film Festival event in New York City on June 5. The luncheon was held at the Greenwich Hotel Courtyard and was part of the annual celebration the brand holds for The Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program that highlight's female visionaries working in the film industry.

Because the event was co-hosted by Chanel, attendees wore colors and patterns that paid homage to the brand’s signature themes. Meg’s cream monochrome ensemble didn’t disappoint. It was a healthy balance of polished meets street style.

Despite NYC temperatures hitting the 90s, Meg wore a three piece relaxed suit that showcased an oversized off-white jacket with button details along the cuffs and opening, plus a casual, comfy white tee underneath.

But the stunner of the outfit has to be Meg's wide-legged white slacks that fell just above her black Chanel loafers. Her trousers were perfectly wide and pleated, while the longer length made them feel effortlessly cool. She finished the look with tortoise shell sunnies, a layered set of pearls, and a cream Chanel envelope flap bag.

I was so obsessed with the pants that I did some digging and found a few similar options on Amazon or at Gap that you can shop to recreate the look, whether you're looking for a more office-friendly upscale look or something with a softer linen blend. We especially love that you could dress the silhouette up or down, depending on the occasion.

Meg was definitely our style inspiration throughout the '90s, but she’s proving that she's still the fashion muse she always was.
