LEGO continuously pumps out new sets every year, from their new Smart Play collection to brand collabs with every company you can think of. Kids (and adults!) have so many amazing options to choose from when they want to build and add to their own collection. The ones that tend to stick out, though, are the ones that are massive in scale. For those who have the space and are just a little crazy, LEGO has options where the sets are even upwards of 10,000 pieces total.

These sets are complicated and can be confusing, but to LEGO fans and collectors, they are the epitome of LEGO brilliance. Unbelievably large, expensive, and meant to be displayed for all your guests to be jealous of, they showcase incredible detail that surpasses other LEGO sets. See below for LEGO’s biggest sets to impress the other LEGO connoisseurs out there.

Soon to be the largest LEGO set ever released (on November 1), the Sagrada Familia is a scale model of the Barcelona cathedral that took 144 years (so far!) to build. Part of the architecture line in honor of Antoni Gaudí’s work, this set includes over 12,000 pieces. The exterior is filled with the distinctive spires, and the inside is jam-packed with details that look like stained glass. Ages 18+

At over 4 feet long, this ship features all of the elements that make it so famous. Once finished, it opens into three sections so you can see inside to the boiler room and grand staircase. The pistons even have a button to make the propellers turn. It's a 1:200-scale ship model of the vessel that set sail on that fateful night in 1912. Jack and Rose are not included. Ages 18+

Behold the most expensive LEGO set ever commercially released. The “slice,” as this version of the Death Star is known among fans, is unique because it can be displayed flat against a wall. While it doesn’t have as many pieces as some sets on this list, it’s the priciest because it includes an astounding 38 minifigures. Ages 18+

The newest set from the Lord of the Rings franchise just came out in June and sold out immediately. It will be back in stock soon, so sign up for notifications so you don’t miss out. This stunning recreation of the White City of Gondor is high on my wish list, as the interior and exterior are both so true to the movie. Ages 18+

LEGO has made some pretty spectacular Star Wars sets over the decades, but none more magnificent than this nearly 8,000-piece Millennium Falcon. The ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs is fully realized and can be configured to showcase the classic and recent crews.

This set comes with minifigures of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Princess Leia, and C-3PO, along with an older Han Solo, Rey, and Finn. The set also has a buildable BB-8, Mynock, and several Porgs so that you can reenact scenes on the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy. Ages 16+

As of this year, Pokemon and Lego are officially working together on sets. And of course LEGO had to start off this collab of IP’s with a 6800+ piece set. With Charizard, Venusaur, and Blastoise, LEGO and Pokemon fans can build the final evolutions of the original starters. The Pokemon themselves can either be displayed together on their respective biomes, or be separate and displayed individually. Ages 18+

I'm an avid LEGO builder and have put together some large sets, and this is one of the most challenging I've attempted, and it took me approximately 30 hours of building time. The level of detail is truly unmatched, because you feel like you are building Rivendell with a colorful tile roof, a gazebo, and delicate trees. Other standout features include statues on the outside of the tower and the table with all the fellowship. Plus, it comes with 15 minifigures to really make the movie scenes a reality. Ages 18+

At over 4 feet long and 1.5 feet wide, this is the longest LEGO set that can be built. Build this Destroyer completely on the provided stand to make it easy for you to move the model around while building. There are 7 characters provided, which allows you to recreate the iconic scene in Star Wars where Darth Vader meets up with six bounty hunters, one being Boba Fett. Ages 18+

One does not simply walk into Mordor, but one could build the dark tower that looms over Middle Earth. The Eye of Sauron stands at the top of the nearly 3-foot structure, and it comes with a light brick to give it an eerie glow. An automated black gate opens and closes, and inside the structure, there is a throne room, a prison, and a weapons forge. Ages 18+

Another Star Wars set, this one allows you to recreate an attack cruiser from The Clone Wars. At 5300+ pieces and 43 inches long, this display piece would look great in any Star Wars fans home. It comes with 2 minifigures, an information plaque, and a special 20th-anniversary of Clone Wars brick. The design features turbolaser turrets, a hangar within the ship, and Republic red stripes. While this is sold out on the LEGO page, you can find it at other retailers. Ages 18+

Attention minifigure lovers, this Marvel tower comes with 31 individual characters so that you can make your own Endgame battle. Round out the impressive structure with multiple vehicles, like a Leviathan, Quinjet, and two Chitauri chariots. The front panel is removable and allows access to each floor that's filled with things like the glass walkways, where Captain America fights with himself. It’s often on backorder, but you can reserve yours from LEGO directly. Ages 18+

Nothing can quite capture the feeling of walking into a Disney Park and seeing the castle, but this almost 3-foot-tall castle can give you a little bit of the magic when you walk into your house. This princess-filled dream comes with Tiana, Cinderella, Snow White, and Rapunzel and their significant others. And there are magical fireworks that jut out of the building for a little extra sparkle. It’s hard to find (it’s currently out of stock on the LEGO site), but worth it for the ultimate Disney fan if you can get your hands on it. Ages 18+

While the Hogwarts Castle may be the most distinctive silhouette in the Harry Potter universe, Gringotts, with its watchful dragon, is probably a close second. The bank stands on a platform that looks precariously balanced (but is surprisingly sturdy), so you can see the vault beneath. You can put Hagrid and Harry in a cart that moves down a spiral track. It’s often out of stock, so you might need to wait if you’re trying to add this to your collection. Ages 18+

Recreate Highclere Castle, the estate in England that helped to inspire the TV show Downton Abbey. Build the front of the home, and flip the set around to see locations from the tv show. From the servants’ hall to the dining room to Mr. Carson’s office, you truly get to bring Downton Abbey to life with this LEGO set. Ages 18+

The LEGO Notre-Dame has over 4300 pieces to help you recreate this iconic landmark before the 2019 fire. Build the interior first, followed by the exterior, where you can even remove the roof to look at the inside. With features like the rose windows, bell towers, and the central spire, no detail is missed in this LEGO set. It stands 13 inches tall, 8.5 inches wide, and 16 inches deep. Ages 18+

If you’ve ever wanted to have an aquarium without the hassle of actually cleaning the tank or feeding the fish, this set would be perfect for you. Build 4 different fish as well as coral, water plants, and more creatures in this set. Certain parts of the build have special functions, such as dials and cranks that help make a fish swim, or a crab emerge from a cave. There’s even an oyster shell that holds a pearl. Ages 18+

For the ultimate LEGO car fan, you can build the biggest Technic set they have. This Megacar has 4,104 pieces, where you actually build out the piston engine, suspension, and 9-speed transmission. There’s even a feature that allows you to go “ghost mode”, where you lift a piece of the car and watch the front hood and two doors open, as well as the mirrors folding in, all in one quick moment. This car is also almost 2 feet long, so will definitely be the longest car in your collection! Ages 18+
