Whenever Oprah says she loves something, I’m all ears. So when she included the Lola Weighted Blanket in her most recent Favorite Things list, I knew there had to be more to it than just internet hype.
Lola Blankets have gone viral in the past few years—I mean, if celebs like Oprah and Selena Gomez are using them, they’re bound to build a cult following. But, they’re popular for good reason. They’re plush, ultra soft, and look much more chic than your typical sofa throw.
Oprah particular likes the brand’s weighted blanket, and she recommended it over the holidays, saying, “When they unwrap this, they’ll melt. Plush faux fur that hushes the world the second it’s draped over them—a weighted blanket that feels and looks luxurious and hugs you to sleep.”
And now that it’s springtime, the brand came out with three gorgeous pastels to ring in the warmer weather. Included are Wisteria, a soft lavender; Greenhouse, a sage green; and Peony, a romantic pink.
I’ll flat out say it: these blankets don’t come cheap. It is a luxury find after all.
Pricing starts at $125 for the smallest size, baby (30 X 36 inches), and goes up to $425 for the Lola XL (80 X 90 inches). Note that Wisteria and Peony only come in large and Lola XL, but Greenhouse is still available in all sizes.
Our pros at the Textiles, Apparel & Paper Lab recently reviewed Lola Blankets, with Associate Director Emma Seymour saying, “They’re my favorite compared to other faux-fur blankets I've tried because they are fabulously soft, feature a stylish textured look, and aren't too heavy or constricting.”
Seymour added that the weighted blanket in size large offers just 10 pounds of gentle pressure. “I usually feel claustrophobic with weighted blankets, but I found this lighter weight style soothing and extremely comfortable.”
