Chances are, your backyard could use more personality. This retro birdhouse, designed to look like a tiny vintage camper trailer, will bring your love of nostalgic decor outdoors. With its curved metal roof, solar-powered string lights, bright florals, and wavy shutters, it looks straight out of a '60s road trip postcard. Hang it from a tree over the garden, the roof of a covered porch, or a plant hook on the patio—just make sure it gets direct sunlight, so the lights can charge.
Aesthetics aside, this colorful trailer birdhouse is suitable for hummingbirds, wrens, blue birds chickadees, and other small birds. The entrance of bird house is 1.38 inches, and there’s a door in the back for easy cleaning. My advice? Hang it somewhere that allows you to watch it from inside the house, giving birds privacy for breeding and raising babies.
Made of plywood and metal, the birdhouse is designed for outdoor use—but you’ll probably want to bring it inside during winter to prolong its life. It’s a really fun gift for collectors, gardeners, and vintage decor lovers—whether or not they have a personal connection to camping trailers.
Online reviewers rave about the charming birdhouse, especially the LED lights, which automatically charge after eight hours in the sun. “I truly enjoy seeing the birdhouse lit up. The lights are quite bright at night and during the day the colors are vibrant in my yard,” wrote one five-star reviewer.
Another wrote, “I love how it lights up at night. I originally bought this for a friend but I liked it so much I bought one for myself. It's well made.” Just make sure you turn on the solar light switch before hanging it!
