If you’ve been on the lookout for an affordable upgrade to your linen closet, we’ve got good news. Amazon’s #1 best-selling bath towel set — also a Good Housekeeping editor favorite — is nearly 40% off right now.
Here at Good Housekeeping, we've been testing towels for years and have evaluated more than 90 bath towel styles, testing them for qualities like absorbency, drying time, durability (including washability and fabric strength) and more, using in-Lab equipment. Although our Lab experts at the Good Housekeeping Institute haven’t tested this specific style, we can definitely speak to the types of materials and construction to look for when shopping.
We like that this pick uses Turkish cotton, which is a higher quality, longer cotton fiber that tends to feel softer compared to shorter staple cotton. We named it one of the best towel sets on Amazon, since it boasts more than 43,700 five-star reviews from shoppers who describe them as soft, durable and even “spa-like.”
While we haven't tested these in the Lab yet, our staff senior commerce editor, Heath Owens, has owned these towels for three years, and he agrees with shoppers that they're well worth the money (especially when they're on sale). "They've held up really well to washing and repeated use," Owens shares. "I wanted a plain white hotel-style towel set — and that's exactly what these are: a classic cotton, terry-style like you'll find in most hotels. No fancy frills, but they dry quickly and have stayed white. They really come in handy when I'm hosting guests!"
Each towel in this set of four measures 54 inches long by 27 inches wide, and though they aren't as thick and heavy as luxury options, several online shoppers noted how absorbent they were for the price point.
"I love these towels and have purchased them again after buying my first four," one five-star reviewer said. "They are nice and large and actually wrap around my body after the shower. They’re still soft after washing them 50 times. Great quality for a great price."
There's no telling how long this deal will last on the American Soft Linen towel set, so we recommend adding them to cart as soon as possible to avoid missing out.
