A high-quality mattress is key to achieving a good night's sleep, but they don't exactly come cheap. If you're looking to upgrade your sleep setup without investing in a brand-new mattress, a mattress topper is an easy way to make your bed feel more comfortable — and right now, one of our experts' favorite picks from Tempur-Pedic is on sale for the lowest price we've ever seen.
Thanks to Amazon's Big Spring Sale, you can score up to 62% off the Tempur-Pedic TEMPUR-Adapt + Cooling Mattress Topper, (the discount varies depending on the size). The cooling version of our best overall mattress topper offers unparalleled pressure relief with its three inches of memory foam cushioning, earning it a spot in the Good Housekeeping Institute's 2025 Bedding Awards.
GH Institute experts and consumer testers alike were impressed by this mattress toppers' ultra-soft feel, making it a great option for those who prefer a more plush bed. “It softened the firmness of our mattress, which almost immediately alleviated my hip and lower back pain,” said one of our testers. Over 7,800 five-star Amazon reviewers agree, praising its cloud-like cushion and ability to relieve back and joint pain.
Because of its dense composition and body-conforming texture, some memory foam bedding can be notorious for trapping heat. Great news for sweaty sleepers: this topper is encased in a cool-to-the-touch performance fabric, which can help wick away moisture and keep you cool. All of our testers noted that it helped them maintain a comfortable body temperature — especially compared to other memory foam options on the market. Plus, the cover is removable and machine-washable for easy cleaning.
It's currently on sale in every size from twin through California king, with the steepest savings on the twin XL. Shoppers should note that the full price of the queen version is $519, on sale on Amazon for $237 (Amazon's "typical price" feature can be misleading).
