With The Mandalorian and Grogu coming out on May 22, this May the Fourth has been extra-packed with Mando-themed Star Wars collaborations—and Bath & Body Works is no exception, coming out with its own celebrating Mando and his young foundling.

I have to admit: I’ve been a Star Wars fan my whole life, but I’ve never really wondered what Baby Yoda smelled like. Would he have an earthy, woodsy fragrance? Would he smell like Yoda’s stew? And what about Din Djarin himself—what kind of scent lurks beneath all that Beskar armor? I went out like a bounty hunter and captured some of the items in the collection to find out.

The line is mostly divided between two fragrances: Force Flow, which is the Grogu scent, and Bounty Hunter, which is Mando’s. There’s also a third fragrance, Ice Planet—with notes of “frozen cypress, glistening water and radiant amber”—that will be available as a loyalty-exclusive three-wick candle that somehow managed to escape my grasp.

Force Flow, to my delight, did not smell like the muddy swamp of Dagobah. It's way more pleasant than that. It’s described as smelling of “green apple, salted lavender, and cosmic sage,” and it’s the green apple that really comes through—many of the Good Housekeeping staffers who sniffed it remarked that it reminded them of candy. Force Flow is definitely a youthful scent: “It’s giving kids’ shampoo,” said Sarah Vincent, associate editor. I could see using it a fun way to switch up bath night.

The other scent, Bounty Hunter, is more mature, and generally the scent that Good Housekeeping crew preferred (anecdotally—I did not subject these to a rigorous, Good Housekeeping Institute Beauty & Personal Care Lab test). Bounty Hunter smells of “sea salt, solar woods, and protective patchouli,” and it comes across as a decidedly masculine scent. “This is what I expect Pedro Pascal to smell like,” said Adrianna Freedman, associate news and entertainment editor. If someone is looking for a Father’s Day gift for a Star Wars-loving dad, this is the way.

My desk has a bounty...of Mandalorian and Grogu products, courtesy of Bath & Body Works.

Force Flow and Bounty Hunter will found in every corner of the store, across products like three-in-one body wash, lotion, foaming hand soap, and the famous Bath & Body Works three-wick candles.

There are other gifty items and collectibles in the line, too. My favorite is a poofy shower loofah in the shape of Grogu’s head—the ears feel like little washcloths. The collection also includes PocketBac holders, three-wick candle pedestals, tote bags, a Grogu snack tin, and a Grogu coin purse, among other little pick-me-ups. It would be extremely easy to grab a body wash, put together a few small items, and make a gift set.

Bath & Body Works rewards members get first crack at the Mando merch, and it’ll all be available to them this May the 4th. Everyone else has to wait a teeny bit longer, and the collection will be available to all customers, online and in stores, on May 11. But those who want them should act without hesitation, because they’ll be gone faster than a speeding hover pram.
