Why we like it: This dress looks way more expensive than it is, and it features non-slip strips for extra security as you move and dance throughout the night. We love the floral mesh design and slimming silhouette.
What to know: While you can machine wash this dress, you should use a laundry bag and use cold water. It’s not recommended to tumble dry.

Why we like it: This GH reader-favorite dress has been a best-seller year after year, on sale and at full price. It has a notched neckline, ruffled sleeves, and side pockets. It’s available in over 20 colors (including different patterns), but black seems to be the most popular.
What to know: The dress falls above your knees and fits rather loose and flowy. The sleeves are a little longer and should fall right above your elbows. According to the brand, this dress can be machine-washed. Just make sure to use the cold, gentle cycle.

What you should know: The spaghetti straps are adjustable, and you get two side pockets. “The only demerit is that there's a bit of extra fabric in the chest area,” Schwartz says.

Why we like it: IUGA is one of our editor-loved brands (and a popular Amazon brand) for leggings. Our editors were impressed by the versatility of the brand’s designs for the low price. This sweat-wicking exercise dress has adjustable straps and a built-in bra and shorts, so you can return serves worry-free.
What to know: This dress is on the shorter side and features a mid-low neckline. According to the size chart, this dress should fall a couple of inches above your knees. Also, you can remove the padding for washing (or if you want a little room in the bust).

Why we like it: Commerce Editor Angel Madison named this versatile dress among her favorite plus-size dresses. “The viscose-elastane blend fabric is very stretchy, so I think it could fit on someone who typically wears a 3X,” she said.
What you should know: While this dress only runs up to XXL, Madison said that it runs large, especially if you’re shorter. There is no zipper or buttons—this dress features a pull-on closure. The dress pulls in at your waist ever so slightly.

What to know: You can expect a looser, almost shapeless fit. While sleeveless, the straps cover most of your shoulders. The brand notes that this dress may run long for petite shoppers.

What to know: The dress features a square neckline and thicker straps. It cinches slightly at your waist for a smocked fit. You can toss the dress in the washing machine, just make sure to use a garment bag. Also, this dress has two side pockets!

Why we like it: Nap-style dresses, known for their tiered skirts, square necklines and puffy sleeves, have been a staple of the cottagecore phenomenon. We love that the gingham fabric comes in multiple colors. It’s made of 100% rayon, which is a material known to be lightweight and breathable.
What to know: The bodice is smocked, which offers a little stretchiness, but some people might find the texture itchy or uncomfortable. Per the brand, this pull-on dress can be machine-washed.
