It's the (second) most wonderful time of the year: Prime Day season. And while there are certainly plenty of tempting offers on Amazon right now (I'm personally eyeing these gorgeous Pyrex Bowls to zhuzh up my pantry, and every single dress on this list to overhaul my summer wardrobe), there are a few Amazon-related deals you need to know about that may not cost you a thing. In fact, they could help you save money in the long run. Case in point: Amazon's partnership with Grubhub. Here's what you need to know and how much you could save.

What's the deal with Amazon and Grubhub?

As Amazon explains, all Amazon Prime members can get "all the benefits of a Grubhub+ membership for free, without converting into a paid Grubhub+ membership."

That means users can get totally free access to Grubhub+, which includes unlimited $0 delivery fees, reduced service fees, and exclusive offers on orders placed from Grubhub+ restaurants. (Though the two companies note that the offers usually need to meet the subtotal minimum.) You can even get 5% Grubhub+ credit back on eligible pickup orders. And all of this can really add up. According to Amazon, its Prime members save an average of $300 per year with Grubhub+.

"Since launching the Grubhub+ one-year trial in 2022, Prime members have saved over a billion dollars in waived subscription fees (Grubhub+ is valued at $120 per year). What’s more, Prime members used Grubhub+ to save over half a billion dollars in lower service fees, $0 delivery fees, promos, and Grubhub+ credits," Jamil Ghani, the worldwide leader of Amazon Prime, shared in a blog post in 2025. "While major metropolitan areas like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles show some of the strongest engagement, we're especially excited to see enthusiasm from suburban areas—60% of orders from Prime members who redeemed the Grubhub+ offer come from outside a major city."

How do I sign up for the Amazon Prime Grubhub+ offer?

If you're already an Amazon Prime member, you can simply head over to amazon.com/grubhub+ and click "activate." If you're not a Prime member, you'll need to become one, which runs for $14.99 a month. Amazon also noted that if you "cancel or pause your Amazon Prime membership, your free Grubhub+ membership and benefits will end immediately and it will not be auto-renewed to a paid Grubhub+ membership."

OK, now, how do I order Grubhub through Amazon?

Amazon explained that you need to first link your Amazon account with Grubhub (using the link above). Then, you can place your order on the Amazon app or website, and you can even use the same payment method that's saved on your Amazon wallet. You can then track your order per usual via the confirmation text or email.

And if you do some girl math with me, you could technically use that $300 you saved to spend on something else you've been eyeing for Prime Day, making it technically free. Or, try the 48-hour rule and then put all that money into a high-yield savings account for next year, instead.
