Apple rarely holds sales on their own—the most they’ll do directly are special back-to-school promotions or offer gift cards on select Black Friday purchases. But here’s a secret: Big-box retailers like Amazon and Walmart will usually offer markdowns on all kinds of Apple tech, new and old, during holidays like the 4th of July.
During sales events like these, you can expect 10% to 20% discounts on Apple AirPods, MacBooks, iPads, AirTags and more (this might seem insignificant, but as a longtime shopping editor, I’ll attest that these discounts truly are rare). It’s a great chance to save even on newer models, like a 2026 MacBook.
Among our favorite deals is a the Apple Watch Series 11, the latest model in the series. Senior Reviews Writer and Analyst Olivia Lipski at the Good Housekeeping Institute is our resident tech pro who gets her hands on the latest innovations—and in her review of the Series 11, she noted the model’s “improved battery life, thinner design, brighter display, and advanced health features like ECG and blood oxygen readings, and hypertension notifications.”
And if you’ve been wanting new AirPods but aren’t sure which one to get, Lipski has an extensive review that notes her favorite things about each AirPods model that’s on sale for the 4th of July.
But some standouts include the Apple AirPods Pro 3—our pick for the best overall AirPods (and Lipski’s favorite)—as they feature fantastic noise cancellation and “crystal clear sound quality.”
The Apple AirPods 4, on the other hand, were named the best AirPods for an open fit by our pros. These offer optional noise cancellation and are powered by the H2 chip you’ll find in Pro versions.
Other Apple accessories are seeing discounts, including EarPods and the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard Folio for your iPad. We don’t expect these discounts to last long, so this is your chance if you’ve been thinking about upgrading!
