There's something about a charming outdoor shed that always catches our attention. Whether you dream of a cozy backyard escape, a creative workspace, or just somewhere to stash the lawn gear, the possibilities are endless.
We just came across this quaint little DIY pick from Costco—and photos of the finished product had us thinking we could bring all these visions to life. The wooden frame looks strong and sturdy, and the overall simple, square-like shape makes it feel modern. It comes pre-cut and ready to assemble, according to the brand.
The shed comes with two large doors that lock shut, and a transom window up top lets in a good amount of natural light. You even get two built-in wall vents to help with circulation. The slanted roof lets rain and snow slide off easily, and per the brand, the materials are weather-resistant.
It’s pretty spacious, measuring 10' x 7.5' x 9', giving you 565 cubic feet. That offers room for a bike, a shelf full of garden supplies, and maybe even a small desk and a rug. The product listing even has a photo that shows the shed being used as a small office.
A couple of things to note: The shed is apparently heavy (1,100 pounds). Luckily, you don’t have to haul it home, as Costco will deliver it to you. Also, you’ll have to factor in additional costs for paints and shingles, as these aren’t included.
Finally, the shed is available online only, exclusively to Costco members. Per the site, you can expect the shed to arrive roughly two to four weeks from the time you place your order.
