When November and December roll around, I’m ready to hunker down with my comfort shows. I just wish my favorite, Gilmore Girls, had more holiday episodes. There are plenty of winter-themed ones, but only a few that focus on true season’s greetings. Thankfully, there’s a Gilmore Girls advent calendar to bring a little more holiday cheer.

Last year, I got one from Insight Editions, and it was filled with 12 days’ worth of Gilmore Girls trinkets, from coasters to a keychain and ring holder. The best part? It was shaped like Lorelai and Rory’s house—and the lights actually lit up. All it was missing was a little figurine of Lorelai saying, “I smell snow,” to be the perfect gift for a Gilmore fan.

This year, the same brand has released a new version: a pop-up calendar. When you open the advent calendar, the town comes to life, including a large Christmas tree in the middle, which you will decorate for 25 days with the ornaments hidden in each flap. If you look closely inside the gazebo, you can see little Lorelai and Rory cutouts, dressed in their season one best. And yes, the tree lights actually light up.

According to the brand, you’ll also get a 56-page book that’s filled with facts and trivia.

It’s finally available to shop after weeks of preorder hype. So, if you’re hoping to make it the centerpiece on your table this December, I’d hit that “add to cart” button sooner rather than later.
