I cover toys for a living, and I’m always looking into the developmental benefits of different play sets. Do they help kids unlock a world of their imaginations? Do they let kids practice skills like reading, counting, or color recognition? Does it get them up and moving, working on their gross or fine motor coordination?

Then every once in a while, a toy comes along to remind me that none of that really matters to kids. Sometimes, a plaything will become popular even if it has absolutely no redeeming qualities in my adult, expert eyes. I’m talking things like the Butt Face toy, which got such great feedback from our kid testers it earned a Good Housekeeping 2026 Best Toy Award. I’m remembering the Minions fart-blaster toy, which sends out scented smoke rings. And, of course, I’m talking about Fugglers.

SHOP OUR EDITORS’ FAVORITE NON-FUGGLER PRIME DAY DEALS THIS WAY

I have to be honest: I don’t like these things. Their teeth freak me out, and their little faces are the stuff of nightmares. But I suspect that’s part of the appeal. My 10-year-old loves nothing more than grossing me out with a big, Fuggler smile. And they’ve grown so popular that Good Housekeeping’s senior deals and trends editor Amanda Fama has called them “the next Labubu.” They certainly straddle that same ugly/cute line.

For shoppers who must have one of these monsters in their house, there are a few on sale for Prime Day. For starters, there’s this would-be-adorable-if-it-weren’t-gross wedding set.

Can you imagine these staring at you from the top of a wedding cake? I’d run the other way. But I can see these being a funny gag gift for an engagement party. Each of the plush characters stands 9 inches tall, so they’d definitely stand out on a gift table.

Or, for the shoppers out there who can’t get enough of the Y2K aesthetic, the Fuggler-ified Powerpuff Girls are also on sale.

In addition to the three main girls, a Mojo JoJo is also available. One more thing to note: Select Powerpuff Girls Fugglers have “a rare butt-on hole,” which makes them even more collectible. So there’s that.

And if they weren’t creepy enough on their own, the Fuggler Puppetronic is also on sale. This means it has interactive elements that make it even more lifelike, including more than 60 sounds and reactions.

This year, I tested the Pikachu Puppetronic for the Good Housekeeping Best Toy Awards. I loved the Pikachu Puppetronic. It was so, so cute, and the sounds and animations made it look like whoever was using it was a real professional puppeteer. This thing? It’s not coming into my home, I can tell you that.

I know everyone’s not going to have the same strong, anti-Fuggler reaction that I have. Some might even find them cute? But I would classify this as the type of toy you buy your nieces and nephews when you want to annoy your siblings. And for anyone into gross-out humor, today’s the day to get a Fuggler (if you need to get one at all).
