Mark Consuelos is making his Broadway debut in the revival of Fallen Angels as Marcos Duclos.
Mark’s son, Joaquin Consuelos, whom he shares with his wife, Kelly Ripa, will also make his Broadway debut playing Young Biff Loman in Death of a Salesman.
Mark spoke openly about his feelings toward Joaquin’s acting success.
Mark Consuelos and his son, Joaquin Consuelos, have something new in common these days.
Ever since Mark made a name for himself on All My Children, folks have gotten the chance to see him in a range of roles on TV and in movies. But they hadn’t seen him on a Broadway stage until recently, when he took on the role of Maurice Duclos in the Broadway revival of Fallen Angels.
The Live With Kelly and Mark star isn’t the only member of his family who has caught the theater bug. Joaquin, whom Mark shares with his wife, Kelly Ripa, is also making his Broadway debut, starring as Young Biff Loman in the revival of Death of a Salesman. Even more impressive: It’s Joaquin’s first professional role since he graduated from the University of Michigan in May 2025.
Broadway.com sat down with Mark to hear about the experience—and Mark had some hilarious thoughts on the topic.
“It took me 30 years to get on Broadway, and it took him three months out of college,” he jested in the interview, published on April 17. “It's kind of annoying.”
It’s clear the actor couldn’t be more elated about his youngest son’s career kick-off.
“No, we're so proud. We're so, so proud,” he added.
Kelly also celebrated the update with an Instagram post.
“Scenes from opening night of the brilliant @salesmanonbroadway directed by the incomparable Joe Mantello,” she wrote on April 10. “Congratulations to the entire cast and crew on this astonishing revival, and to @joaquinconsuelos on your Broadway debut!”
Congrats to Mark and Joaquin!
