Ina Garten teased that she was doing something new outside of Food Network.
The celebrity chef announced the upcoming launch of her new podcast, Happy Hour With Ina Garten.
Ina spoke out about why she was excited to try something “messy” in a profile with the New York Times.
Ina Garten is expanding her culinary empire with something totally new.
Fans know the celebrity chef for her various TV shows on Food Network, including Barefoot Contessa and Be My Guest With Ina Garten. And while she has built an impressive career that includes books and more, Ina has never branched out into a particular medium: podcasting.
Well, it looks like things have changed. A June 21 story in the New York Times reported that Ina will host her own podcast, Happy Hour With Ina Garten, which will debut in the fall of 2026. The show will air on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple and will be based in Ina’s New York City apartment rather than her Hamptons home, which is often shown on Food Network.
“We’ve been cooking up something special with @inagarten,” read the caption on a June 22 post from Vox Media. “Happy Hour with Ina Garten is coming to audio and video platforms this fall! Stay tuned.”
Unsurprisingly, fans were ecstatic about the idea.
“Mentally, I subscribed before I even know about it,” one person penned in the comments. “Can’t wait…Ina is (and always will be) an inspiration 💛,” another cheered. “So excited for this 🫶,” a different follower added.
According to the New York Times article, the podcast will feature Ina and special guests as they chat and make cocktails and mocktails. And, as the star told the outlet, she loves the idea of doing something “messy” compared to filming a TV show.
“[Podcasting] was kind of younger and cooler, and it was the thing that was moving fast, and I thought it would be really fun to be in that stream,” she stated in the profile. “It’s happening in real time; it’s not overedited, so it feels authentic in a way that nothing else does. I’m always in pursuit of that messiness of real life.”
We’ll definitely need to tune in as soon as this airs!
