The couple announced their engagement in January 2026.

Kat Cunning currently stars in Line of Fire, but they have an interesting connection to Fire Country.

On September 29, Kat appeared on the Today show to promote their new NBC drama, which airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET. Hosts Al Roker, Dylan Dreyer, and Craig Melvin mentioned that Kat is engaged to Fire Country star Jules Latimer. Kat shared engagement photos, including ones with private fireworks.

“Yep, that is Jules Latimer. That’s my fiancée!” they said in a clip posted on Instagram. “She is responsible for those private fireworks. That little warzone that we had.”

Kat then shared how the couple planned memorable proposals for each other.

“So, I proposed to her first in a hot tub in Joshua Tree under a perfect half moon,” they said. “And that was perfect for her, because she’s a little more introverted than me. But then she proposed to me on a private yacht with Dirty Dancing playing. And then, since there was no camera and I wasn’t in a dress, she did it again on a beach later that night. So, she left no stone unturned. I can’t ever say if you loved me, you would have.”

Naturally, Jules shared her feelings on Kat’s retelling.

Fans loved seeing the unexpected Line of Fire-Fire Country connection.

The couple announced their engagement with a joint Instagram post in January 2026. They each shared photos from their respective proposals, and Kat shared the sweetest caption.

“These pictures are proof of the fact that I have truly never felt this way before,” they wrote in the caption. “But I know that it’s good, and I am ready to have the time of my life, for the rest of my life, with you.”
