Fire Country got renewed for season 5 on CBS.
The network announced the show will premiere on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
Max Thieriot also spoke out about changes coming to Fire Country this season.
Sound the alarm, Fire Country fans—we have the season 5 update you’ve been waiting for.
Ever since season 4 ended back in May, fans have been itching to see more from Bode Leone (Max Thieriot), the first responders at Station 42, and the inmates working in Three Rock. And since the final episode of the installment ended on a high note, it looks like more good news awaits in season 5.
As folks discovered in a new Instagram post, Fire Country season 5 will premiere on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. The show’s first episode will air on the same day as the season 2 premiere of its spinoff series, Sheriff Country.
“Something old, something new, and a date worth saving,” the caption read alongside a clip of Bode from the season 4 finale. “See you all October 9 during CBS Premiere Week!”
The Fire Country season 5 premiere announcement had fans ablaze on social media.
“Can't wait to watch my favorite shows again; missed seeing the cast in action 💖💖❤️🔥❤️🔥,” one person wrote in the comments. “The countdown is on!! 🔥🔥🔥,” another cheered. “Count me in! Love Fire Country! ❤️🔥🔥,” a different follower added.
Fire Country has been clear that there will be several changes this season, including there only being 13 episodes. Max told Good Housekeeping that he’s OK with this development.
“Doing 20 episodes a season is exhausting,” he told us in May. “I feel like 15 is kind of the sweet spot, but 13 episodes allows us to really drive home and nail the focus on what these stories are about. Each episode can have more than just a little piece of something, or characters pausing. We can really move the story forward. So, I think what the audience will get is 13 episodes in season 5 that pack way more of a punch.”
Seems like we have something to look forward to!
