• Social media creators have been finding MacKenzie-Childs’ lookalike items for less.
  • Shoppers are now obsessed with dupe pieces that are available at HomeGoods.
  • Bowls, plates, mugs and more are available at the store for under $15.

MacKenzie-Childs is having a moment. While the homeware designer has been popular for decades (and has landed among our top home items), I can’t help but notice that my social feeds have been filled with creators attempting to find that iconic checkered look for less.

In an Instagram post, creator @icheckallboxes shared a video of the shelves at a local HomeGoods store filled with bowls, mugs, canisters and plates that all feature patterns similar to the MacKenzie-Childs’ Courtly Check collection. “Be so serious… this is giving Mackenzie-Childs for LESS 😭🖤🤍,” she captioned the post.

And fans of the brand agreed.

“Omg need every single one of these,” one person commented. “And honestly very good quality, I got a little bowl and a canister. So pretty❤️,” another person added. “👀 ahhh heck yes! I’m going Friday lol and see what I find at my local HomeGoods,” a third person said.

The MacKenzie-Childs print, which can typically run anywhere from $50 to $300, is also popular among our pros in the Good Housekeeping Institute. In a roundup of best butter dishes, the Sterling Check Butter Box stood out as the most design-forward and the Goody x MacKenzie Childs Medium Claw Clips in pink were selected in the Beauty Lab’s best new beauty products of March roundup.

According to the video, the lookalike items at HomeGoods seem to retail between $4.99 and $12.99, though they are not available to shop on online. So, your best bet would be to scope out the aisles at your local store for these styles for yourself.

But if you’re unable to get to your local HomeGoods or your store doesn’t have these pieces in stock, we’ve found a few similar items at Amazon so you can still get the look.
