Whether you’re planning on living in cozy granny blouses or casual work dresses this fall, bold jewelry can spruce up your look in seconds—just ask Kate Middleton. The royal was recently seen accessorizing her emerald-green midi dress with a chunky chain necklace that added a pop of shine to her autumnal outfit.
Kate was photographed with her husband, Prince William, as they dropped Prince George off for his first day of boarding school in Berkshire, England. I scrolled through some photos of the outing to try and find out exactly what necklace she had one, and it seems like the princess wore the Portrait Necklace from Laura Lombardi.
According to the brand, this modish accessory is designed with 14-karat gold-plated brass—and since it’s plated, it shouldn’t be worn in the water for long periods of time. It also comes in two sizes (18 inches and 20 inches), so you can choose your preferred length if you want to buy it.
Just keep in mind that, apparently, the necklace fits snug—so I would personally opt for the larger size if you’re worried about it being too tight around your neck.
If you’re looking for more affordable chain necklaces to shop, I also found similar options from Amazon, Loft, Banana Republic Factory, and Boden that are on sale up to 67% off. (I’m so tempted to add the Banana Republic Factory toggle-chain to my shopping cart right now.)
Although Kate’s necklace is stunning, we can’t overlook her midi dress (which, in my opinion, is ideal for the upcoming fall season). The long-sleeve number appears to be from Emilia Wickstead, a designer Kate has worn before. It’s not available to shop online, but we’ll keep our eyes open for more of Kate’s outfits that are.
