There's much to admire about Kate Middleton, but since we're approaching Labor Day weekend, and we've all got some deal hunting to do, I'll stick to the fact that she's the ultimate tastemaker. Of course she's a head-turner in a tiara, but it's when she shops from the High Street brands (that's British lingo for mainstream) that I pay attention. The Princess of Wales has influenced me to buy a pair of Ray-Ban wayfarers, a Barbour coat long before barn jackets became trendy, and so much Broderie lace that my closet looks like it's being haunted by a Victorian orphan. Ahead, just a few of Kate Middleton's favorite things and wardrobe staples that are on sale today.

Kate's been spotted in these classic trainers multiple times, which means she must find them as comfortable as we do. Now that they're nearly 30% off, why not see for yourself.

Gingham was a key trend this summer, and will continue into fall. Kate wore a similar version of this pretty maxi to the Royal Charity Polo Cup in July. This Tuckernuck dress is a real dead ringer for it (currently on sale, too!), but I’d be remiss if I didn’t include a $30 Amazon version here. For something a little more free-flowing, the Banana Republic riff can also easily be worn into the autumnal months. Just add a moto jacket or a cropped bomber and a bootie.

The perfect penny loafer from one of Kate’s go-to brands, Boden, she wore this exact pair over the summer in oxblood, though now that the temps are dipping, I’m also eyeing the pretty suede chocolate brown version.

Kate Middleton has been a longtime champion of the nautical stripe, proving time and time again that it should be a staple in every closet (especially when you can get one for under $10).

Like I said, Kate's rocked the British brand Boden on many occasions, including in her family's Christmas card, and she's dressed her kids in the adorably preppy fare too. She especially loves a frilly “granny” collar (same) which she’s been known to wear under blazers and sweaters. While her exact blouses are sold out, this similar one is a beaut—especially now that it's $70 off. Oh, and don't let Boden's UK roots deter you. Shipping is fast and free, and they have a generous return policy.

When Kate married Prince William in 2011, she reportedly asked for this citrusy scent to fill the air of Westminster Abbey, and she’s said to wear this bright fragrance daily. Jo Malone seldom goes on sale, FYI. Packaged in that positively regal black box, it happens to make a great gift, too.

Along with the rest of the royal fam, Kate has repped Barbour for years (she’s partial to this one, and I can attest that it’s worth the splurge). While the brand itself seldom gets marked down, this Amazon version is a great-looking alternative. If you want the real deal, Barbour has a cute cropped take on sale and this one’s fun as well. Plus, Bloomie’s is selling the classic quilted coat for 30% off right now.

Queen of the skinny and straight legs, Kate's been known to wear Mother jeans. I'm no royal, but FWIW, these are super comfy and not so high-rise that it hurts to sit at a desk chair.

Beloved by Queen Elizabeth II and renowned for being the go-to royal shade, Kate has been spotted with this perfectly clean, soft pink polish on many occasions.
