Lorraine Kelly has provided a masterclass in dressing for this gloomy weather in a nautical inspired outfit made up of purse-friendly pieces from her favourite high street stores.

The TV presenter posted this picture of her look on Instagram before taking her seat on the set of her chat show – and it quickly garnered lots of likes.

Lorraine's opted for a long-sleeved Breton knit top for some added warmth. She's pared the top with a slightly flared navy fishtail skirt, and finished her look with pointed red court shoes. A winning look for drizzly mornings!

Lorraine's peplum hem skirt is by Marks and Spencer. It's an old favourite which she picked up for just £25 and wore at Christmas, recycling again on this morning's show.

She may well have been inspired by Duchess Kate, who recently wore a similar nautical-inspired outfit to visit Greenwich last month.
