When Martha Stewart invites you—a longtime kitchen product tester—to breakfast at the Central Park Boathouse, you go. While it may not have been Martha herself sending the invitations, my colleague Eva Bleyer and I joined her and her team to celebrate the launch of her new kitchen appliances line, available exclusively on Amazon.
The products include all of the small appliances you'd need to outfit your kitchen, from coffee and spice grinders and milk frothers to toasters, waffle makers, countertop ovens (with French doors!), and more. Each piece features a soft, cohesive look with a minimalist design and streamlined control panel, and comes in four colorways: sky blue, caviar gray, honeydew green, and linen white.
When I talked with the team that helped bring the products to life, they were most excited about the electric kettle with a tea infuser and the four-slice toaster, which has a special setting for gluten-free bread, among others. (I didn't know that gluten-free bread benefited from a lower toasting temp until now!)
While I'm eager to get my hands on many of the products for testing, I can't wait to see how the $149 stand mixer compares to our top-tested models in the Kitchen & Cooking Lab. The $99 blender also caught my eye as did the $69 griddle, perfect for a hungry breakfast crowd.
