If you’ve been waiting to upgrade your mattress, Memorial Day weekend is the perfect time to snag a discount. Right now, we’re spotting some of the steepest mattress sales thus far (some even surpass Black Friday!). As always, it's important to make sure you purchase a mattress you'll like. Because remember: There's no such thing as a good deal on a bad product.
"While mattress companies offer discounts and sales throughout the year, a holiday weekend is when you'll see the most consistent and competitive offers across brands," says Lexie Sachs, executive director at the GH Institute.
SHOP OUR EDITORS' FAVORITE MEMORIAL DAY DEALS OF 2026
As one of Good Housekeeping's mattress experts, I've reviewed hundreds of mattresses and worked with thousands of at-home consumer testers to find the best of the best. This Memorial Day, I worked with our shopping editors, who regularly vet deals and track prices, to find impressive savings on our favorite top-tested mattresses at the Good Housekeeping Institute Textiles Lab. These are the beds I’d actually recommend to my friends–especially now that they’re up to 40% off.

Saatva Memorial Day Sale
The deal: For Memorial Day, Good Housekeeping readers can take 20% off their Saatva mattress orders (with a minimum $1,000 purchase) by shopping through our exclusive link. This deal is even bigger than Saatva's general sale (up to $625 off with the purchase of a bed frame).
Why we love it: Saatva's Classic Mattress is our top pick for its impressive support, durability and breathability. It has an innerspring design, with two layers of coils for extra breathability and a pillowy Euro top for a touch of luxury. "I love how comfortable this mattress is," shared one tester. "It keeps us at the right temperature, especially not too hot."
Saatva provides complimentary white-glove delivery and a 365-night trial (with a $99 pickup fee if you return it). We also like the brand's latex hybrid for its ergonomic design and the Solaire for its adjustable firmness.

Bear Memorial Day Sale
Bear Elite Hybrid Mattress
The deal: Take 42% off the Bear Elite Hybrid and receive a free sleep bundle (two pillows and a mattress protector) using code GH42. GH readers can also take 40% off sitewide plus receive a free sleep bundle on all other mattresses. This is better than the brand's general Memorial Day sale, which only offers a 35% discount.
Why we love it: The Bear Elite Hybrid is our favorite hybrid mattress. It stands out for its zoned pressure relief and support, which is designed to promote spinal alignment, and has unanimously won over every one of our sleep testers. It's especially great for those with back pain: "I suffer from back pain and with this mattress, I wake up pain-free," one GH tester said. This is also the bed that Sachs personally sleeps on at home, after having tested every kind of mattress.

Nolah Memorial Day Sale
The deal: We're not always impressed by Nolah's sales (if we're being honest), but the brand is offering GH readers an extra $100 off mattress purchases with code GH100, which you can stack with their 35% discount (including 2 free pillows) for Memorial Day.
Why we love it: The Nolah Original is our top pick for a mattress if you have back pain. Our testers with conditions like sciatic and scoliosis gave this mattress top scores for pressure relief. The mattress has an approachable medium feel and uses a responsive foam for better support. It also has an ergonomic, zoned layout, which helps maintain proper spinal alignment as you sleep.

Avocado Memorial Day Sale
The deal: Right now, customers can take up to 20% off all of Avocado's mattresses. Our favorite organic mattress, the Avocado Green Mattress, is 15% off.
Why we love it: The Green Mattress uses latex, which is more resilient than foam and prized for its ability to evenly distribute your body weight. That means while there's some give, it won't sink nearly as much under your weight and has a dense, springy feel. It's also certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS), which means Avocado adheres to strict manufacturing standards.

Tuft & Needle Memorial Day Sale
The deal: Take 30% off on Tuft & Needle's site or Amazon, no code needed.
Why we love it: This is the lowest price we've seen for this mattress this year. Unlike other memory foam mattresses, this one has a firmer, responsive feel that's ideal for back and stomach sleepers. It also uses graphite-infused foam to help draw away heat from your body. One hot sleeper shared, "I have insomnia, and I have slept better on this mattress than any other mattress."

Tempur-Pedic Memorial Day Sale
The deal: Save 30% on the Tempur-Cloud or save up to 40% on the Tempur-Cloud and Ease Power Base bundle. The Tempur-Cloud ships via UPS while the Ease Power Base is delivered and set up directly in your home.
Why we love it: Tempur-Pedic's Tempur-Cloud offers Tempur foam at an approachable price, though you'll need to set it up yourself. It feels more luxurious than your typical all-foam bed: The medium-firm foam has a cloud-like texture that perfectly molds to the shape of your body for maximum relief. One tester said it best: "You really feel hugged by the mattress."
The Ease Power Base is also one of our favorite adjustable beds for its simple controls and smooth operation, though it doesn't offer sleep tracking or adjustable back support like the brand's more advanced bases.

Helix Memorial Day Sale
Helix Dusk Luxe
The deal: Take 27% off sitewide through May 31st with our exclusive code GH27. Plus, you'll receive a free bedding bundle (a sheet set with a mattress protector) with the purchase of any Luxe or Elite Mattress. This is better than their general Memorial Day sale, which is 25% off sitewide.
Why we love it: The Helix Dusk Luxe has a responsive yet pressure-relieving feel that consistently impresses our GH testers, especially couples with different preferences and combination sleepers. Testers liked its balanced yet pillowy feel: One shared, "It feels plush but doesn't feel like it's swallowing me up, and there's just enough bounce that allows me to shift and turn over in the night."

Silk & Snow Memorial Day Sale
The deal: You can save $150 and receive two free pillows on the S&S Organic Mattress with extra discounts on bedding bundles.
Why we love it: This is our pick for the best value organic mattress. It has the same GOTS and GOLS certifications you'll see in mattresses twice the price, and comes in three firmness levels with responsive latex over airy coils. One reviewer said, "The mattress is firm and yet still has a good amount of bounce and give to it when you move around." Another shared that it "made two picky mattress testers happy!"

Is Memorial Day the best time to score major deals on mattresses this year?
Memorial Day is typically a great time to score major deals on a mattress. We consistently track prices and analyze deals, especially during holiday weekends. This Memorial Day may have the best deals on mattresses for the entire year, compared to other holiday weekend sales. We found some deals on high-end mattresses that are just as good as (if not better than) what we saw for Black Friday, which traditionally always had the steepest discounts every year.
