Pros
- Effective cleaning
- Discreet, compact design
Cons
- Water stream isn’t as strong as an electric model
This soft plastic bottle has a lot going for it, starting with its low price. It’s also easy to use — simply fill the bottle with water, screw on the cap, position the bottle, point the nozzle and you’re ready for a refreshing cleanse. Another nice feature: The nozzle has 10 spray holes, allowing it to cover a wide area during use.
In addition, our testers noted the compact design; the long nozzle extends before use, then retracts back into the bottle when you’re done so it takes up less space. The nylon carrying case is a bonus. They also found it comfortable to use, especially when filled with warm water. While it's not as powerful as an electric model, online reviewers praised this bidet’s water pressure as well as its cleaning performance and compact design, with one satisfied customer saying the product “changed my life.”

Pros
- Small and easy to pack
- Conveniently screws onto any water bottle
- Inexpensive
Cons
- Mediocre water pressure
- Sturdiness is so-so
This inexpensive, portable bidet from Uyicoo is the perfect companion for road trips, camping trips and other on-the-go bathroom experiences, especially when space is at a premium. This bidet’s nozzle conveniently fits on any water bottle and offers a wide spraying angle, with an elongated shape that provides a little more reach. At a little over 3 inches long and weighing less than an ounce, it’s extremely compact and can easily fit into nearly any handbag, backpack or weekend bag.
The drawbacks? Some online reviewers reported the device can pop off the bottle if squeezed too hard. Other customers also said the water pressure can be a bit weak, causing it to not always deliver optimum cleaning results.

| Capacity | N/A |
| Material | Silicone |
Pros
- Two water pressure levels
- Strongest water pressure on our list
- Runs on AAA batteries (not included)
Cons
- A bit noisy
- Pricey
In general, electric portable bidets deliver a stronger stream than manual models. The Mighty Rock is no exception. This compact electric bidet, powered by two AAA batteries (not included), offers two levels of water pressure, a semi-circular spout for accurate aiming, and an ergonomic design. Moreover, “we like the adjustable nozzle, which makes it easy to target different areas during cleansing,” says Dan DiClerico, Director of Home Improvement & Outdoor at the Good Housekeeping Institute.
Some online reviewers report that the device’s small holes can get clogged with minerals over time, impacting the water pressure. The electric device is noisier than manual models, for those looking to be discreet. Also, this product is double the cost of some of our other picks.
| Dimensions | 1.89" x 1.89" x 6.22" |
| Capacity | Not listed |
| Material | Silicone, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene |
Pros
- Collapsible for easy storage
- Lightweight design
- Discreet carrying case included
Cons
- Some users reported leaks
- Relatively expensive
This portable bidet’s collapsible, accordion-like design makes it easy to transport, so it's ideal for your next backpacking or camping trip. Alternatively, you can strap the bottle onto your backpack using the carabiner clip it comes with, providing a travel bidet within arm’s reach at a moment’s notice. When it’s time to put it to use, you simply extend the device, fill it with water, and squeeze the bottle. It features a built-in adjustable nozzle and three-point spout, and the product weighs just 5.3 ounces when empty. A discreet carrying case is included.
Nonetheless, the product is expensive compared to many of its competitors. Some online reviewers said the screw-on top can leak, while others reported the unit difficult to disassemble.
| Dimensions | 2.3" x 3.3"(collapsed); 2.3" x 5.5" (expanded) |
| Capacity | 11 fl oz |
| Material | Silicone rubber |
Pros
- Budget friendly
- Easy to store
- Angled nozzle
Cons
- Plastic material may crack over time
- Prone to leaks, according to some online reviewers
Although it’s designed for postpartum recovery, this perri bottle from Cynpel is a solid portable bidet all around. Compact and lightweight, this low-cost option is easy to use: Just fill it with water, hold the bottle upside down, and spritz. The retractable angled nozzle features 10 holes that provide a steady water stream. Another selling point: It comes with a waterproof travel bag.
But not all online reviews are glowing. Some users said the bottle leaks, despite the manufacturer’s claimed “leak-free” design. Some also said the water flow is hard to control, and that the product’s plastic design makes it susceptible to cracks. Still, this portable bidet is one of the cheapest options out there.

How we choose portable bidets
Over the years Good Housekeeping Institute has tested a wide variety of home and travel products, everything from the best showerheads to the best travel accessories and camping gear. To find the best portable bidets, our experts in the Home Improvement and Outdoor Lab reviewed about a dozen models. We assessed each product’s size, material, price, ease of use, comfort, water pressure and cleaning performance. The top models deliver effective cleaning, are easy to transport and a cinch to clean.
What to look for when shopping for the best portable bidet
Here are six factors to consider before you purchase a portable bidet:
✔️ Cost: Prices for portable bidets range from under $10 to over $30. But in most cases, there's no need to splurge — a good number of the best portable bidets cost less than $15.
✔️ Nozzle shape: Some models feature an angled nozzle that can be adjusted to fit your specific posture.
✔️ Portability: Consider the product’s weight, size, and design, keeping in mind what will take up the least amount of space. Some portable bidets are collapsible, making them easier to transport when traveling with a small bag. Others
are designed to screw onto a regular bottle, making them extremely compact. Most also come with their own carrying bag to keep it discreet and contained.
✔️ Material: Durability matters. Generally, plastic portable bidets are more prone to cracks than more flexible silicone models.
✔️ Manual vs. electric: Oftentimes, electric models — both chargeable and battery powered devices — deliver stronger water pressure than manual devices. But manual are more popular because they tend to cost less, operate quietly and don't require batteries or other power source.
✔️ Warranty: Some portable bidets come with a manufacturer’s warranty, typically ranging from one to three years.
How to use a portable bidet
It's a fairly simple process regardless of the type you choose. If you purchase a manual portable bidet, you fill the bottle with clean water, position the bottle with the nozzle pointed upward and gently squeeze the bottle while applying steady pressure. If you go the electric route, you’ll need to press a button to turn on the device; some electric models feature multiple water pressure level options.
When finished, pat yourself dry with a small amount of toilet paper.
How to clean a portable bidet
Portable handheld bidets are perfectly sanitary when cleaned properly. Refer to the owner’s manual for specific cleaning instructions. In many cases, the housing of the bidet, including the nozzle and spray holes, can be cleaned with alcohol wipes. The bottle might be dishwasher-safe, but we don’t recommend washing it with other dishes. Alternatively, you can hand-wash the bottle with warm, soapy water.
