Balsam Hill is known for their high-quality, realistic looking Christmas trees—but they typically come with a high price tag. This one, for instance, was a top performer in our Lab testing for its soft and sturdy needles and blue-green hue. We also like that it comes in heights from 4 to 15 feet, some of which are on major discount.
As someone who lives in a cramped one-bedroom apartment, spending hundreds on a massive tree isn't exactly practical. Adorned with a red burlap base and cozy string lights, this small but mighty tree makes a charming impression at just 2 feet tall, so it's a wonderful option for small spaces.
"I live in a tiny home and I wanted to be able to still decorate for Christmas," said a five-star reviewer. "I love this tree so much. This is my third Christmas with it, and it's just as new as when I first got it. It's actually very well made, very sturdy and if you have a small space it's just perfect."
A top-rated Christmas tree and best seller, this option from Wayfair is popular for its full look and pretty style. Sure, it has over 2,000 branches and takes a while to fluff out, but reviewers report that the finished product is worth it. You can purchase it in sizes 6 feet to 14 feet, and all heights are on sale.
With thousands of five-star reviews raving about its lifelike branch tips and full-bodied silhouette, this artificial Dunhill fir tree is pretty close to the real deal, according to reviewers—just be sure to set aside some time to fluff each individual branch. It comes in a whopping 10 different size options ranging from 4 to 28 feet tall.
"This tree is so realistic looking and definitely worth the price," a shopper praised. "We cannot believe how beautiful and full it is. It’s our first fake tree so we were hesitant, but I have no doubt we will use this for years and years."
Why we like it: No matter the weather, make it a white Christmas with this stunning snow-flocked tree. Our top-tested faux tree with snow comes in five different sizes ranging from a petite 4.5-foot tree to a towering 12 feet option to suit most spaces, and it's outfitted with hundreds of warm white incandescent lights to create a cozy atmosphere.
What you should know: Keep in mind that the snow-like flocking did shed during our tests, so be prepared for some clean-up.
For a budget-friendly option that's large enough to draw attention, look no further than our best value artificial Christmas tree. Although it's not as realistic-looking as other faux Christmas trees on this list, it's a great value for the price and will fill your home with plenty of holiday cheer once you add your family's favorite ornaments and string lights.
"This thing came in the tiniest box ever and I thought it was going to look like a toilet bowl brush! But after lots of fluffing it turned out way better than expected," said a pleasantly surprised reviewer. "My toddler was not gentle on the lower limbs and it still survived the season with no loss of any branches."
