“It's great, and it's a joy to watch them,” she exclusively told Good Housekeeping in late April. “I have great children, and they’re incredible parents. I love seeing them with my grandchildren, and I think the lessons they’re learning are putting them in a good direction.”

Goldie also supports childhood education through her ongoing MindUP initiative, which helps families build the emotional skills kids need to face whatever challenges they encounter. The actress feels confident in knowing that her mission will continue with her grandchildren, too.

“I try to let my grandkids do what they want to do in life,” she added. “But they know what their Go-Go does, and they know what I do. They know about MindUP. They’ve been to all my events. They are aware of what I’m doing, and through their parents teaching them, they all understand important things about childhood literacy and mental health. And I think that’s pretty awesome.”

Her commitment to nurturing the next generation extends far beyond advocacy work—it’s reflected in the close bond she shares with her grandchildren every day.

“The way that I am in life with my grandchildren is a lesson in and of itself,” she concluded. “The kids are amazing, and I’m enjoying watching them grow into incredible individuals. And that all starts with their parents.”
