Gilmore Girls alums Jared Padalecki and Milo Ventimiglia have new holiday movies debuting on Netflix in November 2026.

Jared will appear in Guarding Stars, out November 18, and Milo will star in A Dog’s Perfect Christmas, out November 4.

Gilmore Girls fans, Dean and Jess are going big this holiday season.

On October 13, Netflix took to X to tease its upcoming holiday programming. In the video, fans learned that Jared Padalecki, who played Dean Forrester on Gilmore Girls, will star in Guarding Stars, out on November 18. Milo Ventimiglia, who portrayed Jess Mariano, will appear in A Dog’s Perfect Christmas, premiering November 4.

“Mark your calendar for the most wonderful time of the year!” the caption read.

Fans were immediately excited by the news.

“Netflix is making sure we’re ready for the holiday season! A Dog’s Perfect Christmas already has my attention,” one person wrote on X. “I’m so excited for Guarding Stars!!!” another exclaimed. “I'm literally gonna Netflix and Chill (cause it's cold 🥶 out) 😜😜😜🤪🤪,” a different follower added.

Guarding Stars, based on Katherine Center’s 2022 novel The Bodyguard, follows no-nonsense bodyguard Hannah (Leighton Meester) as she’s assigned to protect Hollywood action star Jack (Jared) from a stalker. But when Jack has a family emergency and goes home to Texas, he has Hannah pose as his girlfriend to hide her identity from his loved ones.

A Dog’s Perfect Christmas follows the Goss family as they experience a family tragedy. The story is told through the eyes of a basset hound named Winstead (Thomas Haden Church) as the group renews their bond by adding a corgi to their lives during the holidays. Milo will portray Hunter, one of the members of the Goss clan.
