The final episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show aired on August 31, and Kelly Clarkson pulled out all the stops for her last “Kellyoke” segment.
To kick off each episode, Kelly has traditionally performed a cover song, or a “Kellyoke.” She’s sung many iconic songs across country, pop, rock, and other genres, but viewers requested one “Kellyoke” more than any other in the show’s seven-season run: “Golden” from the 2025 movie KPop Demon Hunters, performed by HUNTR/X.
“For the final Kellyoke, Kelly and My Band Y'all go out with a bang performing the most requested cover song EVER — ‘Golden’ from Kpop Demon Hunters,” the caption read on YouTube.
Fans couldn’t help but express their feelings about the cover.
“There’s nothing this woman can’t sing. 😳 Chills!!” one person wrote on Instagram. “That was impressive. Original key. All in one continuous shot, live performance... 🙌🏼♥️🤌🏼,” another agreed. “Not even the original singers sing it live in the original key. And Kelly does it NO FALSETTO?!?!?! Queen,” a different follower exclaimed.
When Good Housekeeping spoke to the show’s executive producer, Alex Duda, she said just how important the “Kellyoke” segment has been to the series.
“We had this hour of the day that we could control and make positive,” she told us. “We wanted it to be about who Kelly was. We built the show around her, and she was about music, and she was positive, and she was a mood shifter in the room, and we wanted the show to do all the things that we felt like when we were in the room with her. That's what I hope we accomplished.”
We’ll be playing this on repeat long after The Kelly Clarkson Show ends.
