Over the last few years, fans of the actor have watched him produce and star in the hit drama Tracker. While the show gears up to start production on season 4, which will air this fall on CBS, Justin is keeping busy.
As Deadline announced on June 8, the This Is Us alum is currently developing a new TV show for ABC under his Change Up Productions company. It’s slated to be a network adaptation of the Isabella Maldonado book A Forgotten Kill. Justin took to Instagram to share his excitement about the project.
“Pretty excited about this one!!” he wrote in the caption. “Stay tuned.”
When fans learned about Justin’s new project, they voiced their excitement.
“Looking forward to seeing this on the screen 👏,” one person wrote in the comments. “Congrats @justinhartley!!! This sounds absolutely AMAZING!!” another cheered. “Sign me up for this. I'm already heating the popcorn in the microwave,” a different follower added.
Other fans worried about what this news meant for Tracker's future.
“Don't fail on Tracker plx ❤️🔥,” one person begged in the comments. “What? So no more Tracker? 👀,” another asked with concern. “Ohhh that sounds sooo cool 😍 I hope that doesn’t mean Tracker is ending? 🥺,” one more wondered.
Fortunately, season 4 of Tracker is definitely in the works—the show even announced it would relocate to Los Angeles for filming.
Deadline writes that A Forgotten Kill will follow Dani Vega, a Nyuorican from the Lower East Side who works as a “dauntless FBI agent whose specialty is breaking codes and detecting patterns.” When she is partnered with NYPD Detective Mark Flint, their opposing work styles operate in their favor as they solve different cases. But Dani is hiding a family tragedy that can put her life and career in peril.
We’re so ready to see this!
