While the Duchess of Sussex's new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, has sparked plenty of online chatter, one dish in particular has ignited lots of opinions: Meghan’s single-skillet spaghetti recipe, which she makes in the first episode.
In the Good Housekeeping Test Kitchen, we’ve developed plenty of one-pot pasta recipes over the years — so we were eager to give Meghan's take on the dish a try. But while several recipes from With Love, Meghan are available on Netflix’s website, the single-skillet spaghetti is notably absent. So, we watched Meghan carefully, jotting down our own version of the recipe based on her on-screen demo.

- 1 pt. yellow cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 pt. red cherry tomatoes, halved
- Kosher salt (a generous amount)
- Olive oil (a good glug)
- 4 cloves garlic, chopped
- 12 oz. spaghetti
- 1 lemon, zested
- 1/2 bunch Swiss chard, stems sliced and leaves roughly chopped
- 1/2 bunch lacinato kale, stems discarded and leaves roughly chopped
- 1 pt. baby arugula
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Step 1In a tea kettle, boil 3 1/2 cups water.
- Step 2In a large skillet, combine tomatoes, salt, oil and garlic, then place spaghetti on top. Add lemon zest, then Swiss chard stems.
- Step 3Pour boiling water over pasta; you'll want about 1 inch covered.
- Step 4Cover with lid, return to a boil and cook for 5 to 8 minutes.
- Step 5Add the greens (chard and kale leaves, plus a handful of arugula), then cook until the pasta is al dente, 4 to 5 minutes more.
- Step 6Top with grated Parmesan.
