I’m a loyal jeans devotee; they’re the solution to any easy-dressing day. Case in point: not a week goes by without my trusty Levi’s earning a place in my outfit rotation. Still, even I have to admit that the cycle of mid-wash blues and indigos can feel repetitive. Enter H&M’s new jeans, available in a surprising rosy pink wash — just the thing to pull me out of my denim rut.

Pink is a shade that already features heavily throughout my wardrobe, yet I hadn’t expected it to make its way into my denim collection, but once I did, I found it worked with my burgundy kitten heel, and favourite cosy chocolate-brown knit. And I know, I'll keep wearing them throughout spring and into summer, too.

H&M’s are £33 — a great, no - excellent, price for 100% cotton jeans. They sit comfortably at the waist for a universally flattering fit, skim the hips and fall into a swishy, wide leg that feels very now. As if the pink wasn’t joyful enough, they also feature playful flap pockets on the front for an extra touch of personality.

When it comes to styling, they work a treat with a boxy white T-shirt feel and with a crisp button-up shirt and high-vamp pumps.

H&M aren’t the only high-street store offering pink jeans, female-founded British brand Ro&Zo have a pair in a lilac-pink hue, and Wrangler’s western jeans in bubblegum pink are an excellent choice if you like your jeans straight-leg and slim.

Sometimes all it takes is one surprising shade to make getting dressed exciting again.
