Dior designer Jonathan Anderson’s new range has just launched at Uniqlo. It’s a basics range with a designer twist, and the playful, luxury details are why, if you’re looking to update any of your basics for spring 2026, I recommend you look at it now.
Like it's sister range Uniqlo: C, it looks set to sell out quickly because each item is excellent quality, in uplifting seasonal colours and each piece has been carefully designed to be a fresh and modern-looking update to a basic you already own, and may be ready to recycle, or relegate.
So let’s start with the edit of what to buy and why. First and foremost, JW Anderson for Uniqlo is very good at shirts. He has majored on a classic Oxford button down style, but rather than being something you would tuck in, it's cropped and swingy at the waistline where you'll also spot a tiny stitched logo – very spring 2026.
The long-sleeved version of the shirt is available in a sunny and chic yellow check, a soft pastel green and crisp sky blue, and will make a playful style update to wear with jeans and soft trousers.
I also highly recommend the half zip sweatshirts in pale blue, orange and soft grey, which look modern yet relaxed and can be layered with shirts - I'd go for the orange sweatshirt over yellow shirt - and wear with jeans or joggers.
For trousers, the pale blue and off-white straight-leg jeans are hard to beat as an comfortable everyday staple that also nods to knowing the mood of fashion now; they also come in mid blue and dark blue washes.
A few of the pieces in this range are unisex, including the colour block T-shirts with short sleeves that roll to reveal a contrast colour, the brilliant socks – I adore JW Anderson Uniqlo socks, they last for years – and the pique polo tops. All feature cute logos and come in an array of colours.
If I were you, I’d go for a sunny yellow shirt, an orange half-zip sweat, off-white jeans and sporty socks. And if you’re in the market for a spring jacket, fashion insiders are all wearing sportier styles, which look like the way forward.
This range features just one: a hooded zip-up in burgundy which the editor-in-chief of Good Housekeeping has just bought for herself. As for me, I'm updating my sock drawer.
