Now that May is here, the transition from spring to summer is well underway, and I can't help but start browsing the holiday edits from some of my favourite brands. Marks and Spencer has started to drop airy tops and linen trousers, while plenty of high street brands are releasing roomy raffia bags in spades.
What I wasn't expecting, however, was a stellar holiday edit from Sainsbury's. Packed full of key pieces you'll most certainly wear on your next trip abroad, the supermarket's fashion label Tu has nailed off-duty holiday style with ease and, more importantly, without the hefty price tag.
While there are plenty of linen pieces, made from 100% linen, might I add, there is also a plethora of cool and comfortable cotton and viscose staples set to transform your summer wardrobe and keep you stylish even in the balmiest temperatures. Forget uncomfortable and unforgiving fabrics and say hello to pieces that are just as chic as they are airy.
I've picked five of the best and listed them below, making it incredibly easy to update your wardrobe ahead of your next summer break. Personally, I'll be wearing my selected pieces on my trip to Malta this July.
