Every time I browse the New In section at Boden, I'm always pleasantly surprised by the sheer range of eyecatching pieces that come into stock. It's hard to believe that, after nearly 40 years, the British brand hasn't run out of ideas for bold prints and patterns, something that was recently proven by its June drop.
The edit, named An English Summer, features plenty of Boden's signature print palettes, including colourful stripes in both pastel and bright hues across swishy midi and maxi dresses (the Catherine Button Linen Dress is a favourite of mine), as well as lightweight linen trousers and shorts.
Broderie Anglaise trims make a charming appearance too, alongside adorable floral motifs on dresses and blouses in bold, retro inspired designs reminiscent of the '60s and '70s. Yet despite its vintage charm, there's a slightly more youthful feel to this collection compared with previous drops.
Take the Margot, a strawberry embellished puff sleeve T-shirt that instantly brings to mind one of London's most coveted summer events: Wimbledon. Strawberries and cream, anyone?
