There’s something especially great about a seasonal wardrobe that looks good, feels effortless and won’t result in an impact on the environment: think pieces crafted from natural fibres such as linen and cotton, perfect for summer, that will last for years to come and are designed with the environment in mind.
And if this is what you look for when it comes to buying new clothing, then you’re in luck. Fashionable women's favourite Nobody’s Child has just dropped a brand new collection with Materra, a sustainability company working to rethink the way cotton is grown and sourced.
But just because its primary focus is on ethically sourced materials, it doesn’t mean that style has to take a back seat. The collection features plenty of feminine pieces perfect for balmy city weekends and long awaited Med holidays.
As ever, Nobody’s Child leans into the silhouettes it knows best. Expect breezy midi dresses, relaxed co-ords, softly structured skirts (my favourite has to be the green stripe maxi) and versatile separates that can be dressed up or down with carefree ease.
The colour palette is equally eye catching, not just because it makes mixing and matching a walk in the park, but because it leans into pared back colours that always remain trendy. Think earthy greens, chocolate browns, timeless blacks and crisp whites. But let's not forget a pop of colour or prints here and there: there's an especially feminine floral midi hidden among the rest.
Of course, these colours were carefully chosen by the team, reflecting how a sense of ‘place’ is embedded into the collection. “Grounding green nods to the landscapes where the cotton was grown, while solar orange, crisp white and classic black bring warmth, light and ease.”
