It's hard to believe there's another animal print poised to take over our wardrobes. You'd think we'd seen them all at one point or another, from classic leopard and cheetah to more grungy styles like zebra print and, of course, Western style snakeskin motifs.
So, you can imagine my surprise when I noticed deer print starting to do the rounds. It's not exactly new, typically appearing on jackets during autumn and winter in the form of, you guessed it, faux fur. But seeing it on a dress was something I wasn't expecting, making it the perfect alternative to leopard print midi and maxi dresses this summer. Better yet, Next has a style that looks far more expensive than its price tag would suggest.
Adorned with an allover dainty deer motif in speckled dots, the dress is undeniably pretty and full of feminine charm. It also features delicate ruffle detailing on both the front and back, adding a playful touch - as if the fawn-inspired print wasn't charming enough already.
The skirt also features a chic side slit, which not only elevates the silhouette but makes the dress breezier than your average maxi without revealing too much.
As with most animal print pieces, let the dress do the talking. Pair it with nude or black barely there kitten heels and a matching bag for an effortlessly polished look. If you're dressing it down for daytime, simply swap the heels for a pair of classic ballet flats.
