As someone who loves autumn clothing, once September arrives I am seriously spoilt. This year has been no exception, either, with plenty of high street stores nailing autumnal style, and the majority of the pieces have been incredibly affordable without skimping on fashion points.
But, if you take a slight detour off the high street, you'll arrive at supermarket fashion, which is certainly nothing to be sniffed at. This season, we've been especially lucky to see some of the best pieces worn by well dressed women coming from the very stores you'd usually do your grocery shop in, and Sainsbury's fashion brand, Tu, has outdone itself, boasting plenty of seasonal staples that perfectly nail the trends of now.
Of course, the main draw of supermarket fashion is its affordability. But Sainsbury's has done one better and is currently offering an extra 15% off Tu clothing from Thursday 24 September (today) to Monday 28 September. I suspect that once fashionable people get wind of the news, the best pieces will start flying off the shelves - so you'll need to act fast.
A quick scroll through the collection might feel a little overwhelming, though. With everything from corduroy trousers and sleek ankle boots to chic bomber jackets, it's hard to narrow down which pieces are actually worth snapping up. More importantly, it's even harder to pick the ones you won't regret leaving behind. Thankfully, I have a solution.
I've narrowed it down to the five best, most versatile pieces that I think you'll get the most wear out of, not just this autumn but for years to come.
