What a ride this series has been, and last night’s penultimate episode proved exactly that. We’ll miss the treachery and drama, but there’s one thing that will live on after the show ends: Claudia Winkleman’s endlessly brilliant outfits. For the final episode, the host brings a touch of Highland charm to the castle in a tartan kilt - a look that feels unmistakably Claudia.
Her exact kilt is from Le Kilt - a green tartan number that looked incredibly considered, and especially cosy. She paired the piece with a knitted vest from her longtime favourite brand, Brora (the Princess of Wales is a fan of the British brand, too), worn over a Barbour ruffle collar shirt and finished with an oversized brown wool coat.
It’s a stylish combination that looks ready for the chilly weather. The tartan kilt also feels like a fitting choice for the setting: the pattern has been part of fashion for centuries, evolving from traditional Highland dress into a familiar wardrobe staple.
Naturally, Claudia’s original kilt comes with a hefty price tag, but fear not. To achieve a similar look on the high street, Celtic & Co's Bottle Green Midi Celt Kilt Skirt will set you back £139.
Made from pure wool and crafted in Scotland, it has a wrap design, leather straps at the waist and a midi length that falls around mid-calf - a fitting way to pay homage to the show’s setting.
The price is still an investment, but the traditional details make it a brilliant piece to wear with cosy knitwear and boots through the colder months. Tights would look great, too, but you could skip the hosiery with knee-high boots.
Unsurprisingly, Celtic & Co's style has only one size left. So, if you’re looking to continue nailing Claudia’s outfits, choose one of the skirts below.
