Silver boots, disco joggers and glossy bags: you'll be wearing Hush’s festive range before December
Hush's glossy party range is the fashion equivalent of a SAD lamp, so why wait until Christmas?

The darkest days of the year are here, but that doesn’t mean we should disappear into a blanket and wait until December to get our party shoes out.
In fact, I’d say it’s our duty to do exactly the opposite and dress to lift our moods and our style now, today. Think of this approach as the shiny fashion equivalent of a SAD lamp.
So when I saw that Hush - one of my go-to brands for laid-back chic, had released their partywear collection, I was intrigued to see how their design team would do interpret the brief.
And well, the second I saw their laid-back everyday pieces spun with a glossy light-filled silver edge, I was sold, and instantly happier. And not because it fulfills the need for a party dress.
Rather it’s because this range offers easy, genuinely uplifting ways for us to dress in a low-key glamour mood without straying from our comfortable daily style formula.
The clever thing? Instead of a party dress, they’ve created a silvery wide-leg disco jogger which you can style with a silver flecked polo knit layered over a silver T-shirt. On chilly days you can top this off with glittery woolen bonnet which ties with a scarf under your chin. For evening you can pair your disco joggers with a white feathered T-shirt. So far, so Narnia-comes-to-the-city cute.
Then there are the accessories. While Hush always offer chic black boots, in their party range those boots come in a gleaming silver, with a matching mirror shine silver party bag, with rope detailing inspired by camping. I know! It’s quite the juxtaposition, but it works.
Other highlights include a silver lame midi-skirt, and layering tanks in rose gold and silver – pop one of these under your winter knit and you’ll be feeling festive on the inside as well as looking it on the outside.
Even their feminine flocked black and gold blouse and matching swishy midi-skirt skirt will bring subtle glamour to your day, whether you wear them as separates or a total look.
Finally, to ground them into the everyday, you can pair any of these with a caramel coloured knit, the Hush version is in 100% cashmere and will last you a lifetime, and if you're feeling extra fancy you can layer the rose gold tank underneath for full golden style.
However you look at it, this is festive style you can get into right now, and feel all the better for it. I mean why wait?
