The Duchess of Sussex proves once again what a thoughtful person she is after rushing back to a cafe to grab leftover cakes for waiting children.

Meghan and Prince Harry had just finished visiting the Maranui cafe, where they heard about mental health projects operating across New Zealand. When they got outside a group of 10 schoolchildren were waiting to say 'hello.' And they clearly looked like they could do with a little treat, as in clips on Twitter, you can see the Duchess quickly rushing back inside to ask for the leftover cakes, which were then distributed to some very happy looking children.

"It was amazing," the kids said when they were asked what it was like meeting the royals. "They asked us what our names were and they were also really nice and just talked normally," a little girl added.

"My legs were shaking so much," said another.

Meghan was also seen chatting to a very shy boy, who was waiting at the end of the line to meet the royals. The little boy rubbed his eyes while the Duchess smiled at him, holding his hand and patting his chest affectionately.

This was Meghan and Harry's 14th day of the royal tour, with only two more to go before they fly back to the UK.
