The countdown is officially on. In just two days time, M&S will be launching its brand-new Chocolate Cornflake Cookies, and if last year's festive cookie shortage is anything to go by, you'll want to know about these before they fly off the shelves.

The new cookies will cost £3.25 for a pack of five, bringing together the brilliant combinations of black treacle, milk and dark chocolate buttons and crunchy cornflakes, creating a seriously indulgent festive treat.

And while we do love M&S's Gingerbread and White Chocolate Cookies, we're already convinced this year's newcomer gives them a run for their money. The combination of rich chocolate, sticky black treacle and crunchy cornflakes is exactly the sort of sweet-and-crunchy pairing that's impossible to stop eating once you've opened the packet.

There's also a pretty big reason to get your shopping list ready now. M&S says last year's Gingerbread and White Chocolate Cookies were in short supply, and it's expecting this year's Chocolate Cornflake Cookies to be just as popular. So if you're already thinking about Christmas movie nights, afternoon coffees or what to put out when guests arrive, we'd suggest making a note of the launch date.

The brand-new Chocolate Cornflake Cookies lands in M&S stores in just two days and will be freshly baked and restocked daily.
