Crisp lovers, listen up! Premium Spanish crisp brand Torres - famous for its black truffle and Iberian ham flavour, has teamed up with none other than Selfridges for what might just be the most exciting Easter egg launch of the season. And if you’re someone who firmly believes salty and sweet is the superior flavour combo, you’re going to want to read this.

Introducing the gloriously indulgent Selfridges Selection Torres The Crisp Milk Chocolate with Mediterranean Salt Chips Easter Egg. Yes, it’s a mouthful in more ways than one. Available online and in store now, it retails at £12.99 for 100g. Definitely on the premium side, but if you’ve ever bought a bag of Torres crisps, you’ll know they’re worth every penny. And this egg is absolutely no exception.

We managed to get our hands on one (purely for research purposes, obviously), and from the first bite, we were hooked. The silky milk chocolate is studded with flecks of crispy golden salted chips, giving you that perfect salty crunch against the creamy sweetness. Upon tasting, it definitely has that immediate Torres crisps taste which you'll recognise if you've eaten them before. And the shell is satisfyingly thick too, so it feels substantial and properly indulgent when you snap off a piece.

It’s rich, moreish and dangerously easy to demolish. Once we started, we genuinely struggled to stop. But, it DID divide our tasters. One taster described it as “everything and more I wanted in an Easter egg” and admitted they could happily polish off the entire thing in one sitting. Whereas another person said "I want there to be MORE crisps in the chocolate, and it's quite small considering the price".

With bold Easter flavours already popping up everywhere - from Waitrose’s almond croissant egg to M&S’s coffee-filled gooey mini eggs, this crisp-studded chocolate creation feels right at home among this year’s most playful launches.

The Selfridges Selection Torres The Crisp Easter Egg is available to buy now, but if you’re even slightly tempted, we’d suggest moving quickly. Something tells us this one won’t stay on shelves for long.
