Aperol Spritz season is finally within reach, and just as we start planning picnics and sunny evenings, Aperol just dropped some very welcome news. The iconic spritz brand is launching a brand-new ready-to-drink can, rolling out across major supermarkets between now and May. And this might just be their most convenient format yet.

While last year’s bottled version was a hit, it still required a bottle opener and, ideally, a glass filled with ice to get the full experience. This new “to go” can strips all that back. No opener, no glassware, no ice - just chill it ahead of time, crack it open and you’ve got that familiar Aperol Spritz flavour ready in seconds.

At £3 for a 250ml can and 5% ABV, it’s slightly lighter than a homemade version, but still delivers that signature bittersweet orange flavour Aperol is known for. It’s easy, refreshing and designed for exactly the kind of spontaneous moments summer is made for.

Unsurprisingly, this feels like it’s going to be a big hit for picnics, park hangs and garden parties. The kind of drink you throw into a cool bag without thinking twice. That said, the reaction in our office has been mixed. Some of us think it’s the ultimate grab-and-go summer drink, while others are sticking firmly with the bottled version for a more 'proper' spritz experience.

Either way, there’s no denying the appeal. Convenience is clearly the focus here - and as far as we’re concerned, anything that makes an Aperol Spritz easier to enjoy gets our vote.
