We’ve all been refreshing the weather forecast ahead of the bank holiday weekend. And while Friday’s set to be a scorcher, the rest looks a little more unsettled.
But don’t let that get in the way of spritz season. Aldi has announced the return of its sellout Aperini Superiore – and at just £6.49 a bottle, it’s around 60% cheaper than Aperol, leaving you more money to spend on prosecco.
Inspired by the iconic bittersweet orange aperitif, it’s had an upgrade for 2026 and recently picked up a gold medal at the World Liqueur Awards. It’s about as close to the Amalfi coast as most of us will get this weekend – and without passport control!
For easy sipping, there’s also a pre-mixed spritz version, priced at £1.50 a bottle – ideal for barbecues, picnics or a quick garden pour.
If the forecast won’t deliver, consider this your way of manifesting a little bank holiday sunshine.
